Fermin Lopez has recovered quickly and could be available for Hansi Flick’s return to action at Monaco on Thursday or possibly at Villarreal in the La Liga.
Ufabet reported on Monday that Fermin Lopez is making a good recovery and the 21-year-old Barcelona midfielder could be available again for Thursday’s Champions League trip to Monaco or Sunday’s Liga trip to Villarreal.
Barcelona lost Daniel Olmo to a hamstring injury in Sunday’s 4-1 win at Girona, with tests indicating the 26-year-old will be out for four to five weeks, but there has been some good news for Hansi Flick as Firmin has made a speedy recovery and is likely to return ahead of schedule.
Firmin picked up the injury during training with Spain’s Under-21s during the international break and will be out for around three weeks, Promotion Ufabet but the player has reportedly made a good recovery and could return to Flick’s options.
Barcelona’s medical team could reportedly give Firmin a chance to return for Thursday’s Champions League trip to Monaco or, at the latest, Sunday’s La Liga trip to Villarreal.
Lopez is recovering quicker than expected and has a chance of making the squad. If he does miss it then it seems certain he will be available for the weekend’s trip to Villarreal.
Ansu Fati is also set to feature against Monaco and make his first appearance of the season after recovering from a foot injury.
Hansi Flick confirmed as much before the weekend’s trip to Girona. He told reporters: “Ansu? We are happy to have him back. He could be back next game.”
